E3 Preview: Rusty Hearts brings new punch to MMOs

Rusty Hearts mixes old school beat ‘em up action with online options for a very unique MMO experience. The game is designed as a simple dungeon crawler, but instead of using the obligatory swords and spells you fight with martial arts and power attacks. This combination works very well and makes the game move quickly and allows players to fight how they want.

One of the biggest additions to game play options is that Rusty Hearts features controller support. While the keyboard is still an option, the style of gameplay feels much more comfortable when using a controller. If you have a computer controller or arcade stick this side scrolling beat ‘em up will feel just like an old school console or arcade title. The addition of controller support will greatly change how you play and it feels very natural with the design of the game.

Overall the game is boasting a great design with combos, special moves, and numerous dungeons. In addition to not only having a strong solo setup the game features MMO options which allows for communication with other players and even team ups to make beating dungeons easier and more rewarding. If you are looking for a different kind of MMO then Rusty Hearts is something you should keep your eyes open for. In the meantime, look forward to our beta preview later this year.
