E3 2011: Centipede Infestation takes over your Wii later this year
Centipede was an arcade hit back in the 80’s and Atari is bringing it back with more than just an HD make over. Centipede Infestation takes a cue from Smash TV and other arena shooters and puts the player in an arena and sends wave after wave of enemies that the player blows away with a variety of weapons. This provides a very frantic action game with a good level of difficulty.
Even though this is a Wii game the graphics look great. The controls are easy to pick up, but the challenge is what makes this game feel like an old school arcade game. There are some interesting weapons and the bug designs are colorful and unique. The game was only in the alpha build at E3, but it is planned for a winter release this year. If you are looking for a tough arena shooter for the Wii then Centipede Infestation will fit the bill perfectly.
